What is Omnia Designs?
Omnia is a creative design brand that celebrates freedom of the mind, resilience of the human spirit, and an unending curiosity to explore this vast universe.
What Does the Name Mean?
The name is based on the Latin word for “everything”—which speaks to our sense of exploration and curiosity about the world. Our designs reflect a wide array of themes, from nature to vintage military to obscure Latin quotes (yes…we appreciate dead languages, if you hadn’t noticed!)
Who Are We?
Omnia Designs is a joint venture between the two of us, Dillon and Savannah, inspired by our shared interests and passion for creativity.
Dillon: I've always been drawn to learning—my idea of a perfect Saturday morning involves watching a history documentary (or two!). Serving in the United States Air Force deepened my appreciation for American history while also developing a sense of perseverance and determination. Later, my career in aerospace quality led me to meet Savannah while working together, where we bonded over our mutual appreciation for obscure facts about just about everything. Recently, while spending time in California, I faced some of the most difficult challenges of my life—dark valleys that tested my resilience. Through that struggle, I found inspiration in the idea of a phoenix rising from the ashes, which led me to explore my creative side. Designing became my way of transforming pain into something meaningful, and from that, Omnia was created. When I’m not working on new designs, you’ll find me hiking, having a near-magical knack for frequently stumbling upon what seems to be the perfect wizard’s staff for a walking stick.
Savannah: My love for nature started early, exploring the forests and fields of the Midwest as a child. While building a career in aerospace management, I have always pursued creative interests as well—writing poetry, publishing a novel, and now running a design company. With a blend of business expertise and artistic vision, I also work with entrepreneurs to help them build and expand their business successfully while staying aligned with their creative vision. My website, Path & Ponder, is my primary platform for my business and writing. I am passionate about personal growth and believe deeply in the human spirit’s ability to rise above challenges. Throughout my own difficult times, I have often turned to the imagery of a phoenix as a symbol of renewal and strength—even curating a Spotify playlist inspired by the theme. When I’m not working on my many ventures, I’m usually lost in a book, exploring new coffee shops, or adventuring outdoors.
While life has taken us in different career directions, we’re able to build on our friendship and work experience together to launch Omnia Designs now as business partners. When we started developing our brand, the phoenix felt like the obvious symbol to represent our own personal journeys. Omnia itself is a creation built from loss, heartache, and grief—a reminder that beauty, resilience, and hope can always be born out of the darkest of times. Omnia is truly a passion project for both of us.
What Inspires Us?
Savannah: While I’ve primarily used the written word to express myself, I have found it rewarding to expand into visual design, not only to express myself but to develop my creativity. I now find myself regularly being inspired to create new designs based on random things I notice in my everyday life. I also have some exciting ideas for joint collaboration with my writing platform, Path & Ponder, in the future. It is also very satisfying to have a concept for a design, work through the various stages of development, and finally see it come to fruition as something real and concrete. For me, there is a joy in creating something beautiful, a work of art. And more than that, I am inspired to share the ideas, words, and imagery that have been significant throughout my life.
Dillon: I find myself forever looking at the sky and wondering, whether that is during the day or during the night. The idea of exploration, and what’s out there to discover, has always been very important to me. Through this, I’ve become very into nature walks (I have to thank Savannah for getting me started). Watching the sunrise or sunset outside is always a very special time for me. I also have a deep admiration for the power of the human spirit and the resilience of which we’re all capable. I’ve seen despair and heartbreak, but I have also seen people who never let anything beat them. I’ve never really done anything creative, aside from (poorly) drawing holiday themed cats on post-it notes at work, but I wanted to try a new hobby designing shirts to highlight nature, exploration, and the power of the human spirit. I’ve been surprised at how much I enjoy creating meaningful designs—there is a very profound pride in seeing someone wearing our designs and finding out what it means to them.
